I am a fun loving, caring, creative fifty something - going on thirty, looking for someone to enjoy going out with, with the possibility of a special relationship. The three things that I consider define me at this stage in my life are my creativity, my spirituality and my desire to embrace life. I love to laugh, life should be joyous and I like to celebrate that. I trained as a textile designer and since then have been a painter, a printmaker, made jewellery, fashion, ceramics, written poetry and come back to textiles again. I make quilts and clothes, knit gloves and mittens, currently reducing my fabric stash by making bags. I began writing a book last year, a long way from finished, but am enjoying the challenge. To keep the wolf from the door I work in Adult Education. I taught art subjects for 15years, now I create and organise classes for other teachers. I enjoy reading, keep up to date with current ' things others are reading', but am a keen Si-Fi fan. Thanks to BBC 4 I am currently rediscovering Ursula Le Guin I am well travelled: Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Morocco, Cyprus, Egypt, USA, India, Nepal. Planning Peru and Ecuador for next year. I like to cook and feed people. I enjoy food, wine and good conversation. I have lived a nomadic life, currently living in London. The sea draws me constantly and the Highlands of Scotland holds a place in my heart, and I visit every year. Things I enjoy are: creating gardens and homes, history, investigating and visiting places of interest, all things creative, discovering new things and discovering camping. Things I don't enjoy so much are: shopping, socialising in large groups, listening to unkind people. Things I would to do this year: fly a kite, body surfing, sailing, making cheese, go to Newgrange with a beloved, explore new interests. I am sensuous, tactile and romantic. I am a spiritual person, open and willing to expand, while not attached to a religion. I am kind, supportive and thoughtful. I am looking for a man who brings his own interests and ideas, who is willing to bring himself fully into relationship. I am looking for a man who is open to adventures, laughter, and meeting me in the ordinary and the extraordinary.
